Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Maintain EHS expertise to provide support to operations & maintenance teams of the combined cycle power plant.
  • Generation of quarterly EHS report (including OSHA Statistics, environmental reports, training updates etc.)
  • Compliance to EHS procedures, local and federal Government regulations.
  • Coordinate with Local EPA
  • Compliance assurance through Inspections and Audits of all plant related areas and activities.
  • Responsible for the Effective fire fighting/prevention program i.e. maintaining fire fighting equipment in good condition by recording keeping, inspection and fire drills
  • Investigation and Reporting of all EHS incidents. Determination of root cause, findings and their Closeouts.
  • Record keeping of all incidents.
  • The successful candidate would manage
  • Site waste Management program, Safety Management Plan, Emergency Evacuation Plan, Health and Safety procedures compliance, Environmental procedure compliance, Annual Health screening of the sites, Site industrial Hygiene Program.
  • Responsible for the EHS Training, Induction program, risk assessment and environmental impact assessment etc.

Required Qualifications

  • The candidate must have Master degree in Environmental Sciences or Bachelor degree in Environmental Engineering from HEC approved university.
  • The candidate must have five years of experience in a combined Cycle Power plant or Oil & Gas industry as EHS resource.

  • Self-starter with strong client and public communication skills. Strong project management, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Prior experience with GE O&M in same capacity is preferred
  • Knowledge of GE products, services, and processes (GE employees only)
